Singer Relief/Sustaining/Surge Valves
The primary function of the pressure relief valve is either pressure relief or pressure sustaining, depending on its application.
This valve can be combined with many additional functions and accessories.
Shall open quickly to relieve excess system pressure to waste when the inlet pressure exceeds a pre-determined pilot setting. Shall close slowly to minimize surging.
Automatically opens to relieve excess energy of a surge. Remains closed when the system pressure is within the normal operating range. Opens quickly on high or low pressure to anticipate the return of the surge wave.
Automatically opens when the pressure differential across the valve
exceeds the pilot setting. Modulates to limit the flow through the valve to maintain the desired pressure differential.
Automatically opens to relieve excess energy of a surge. Remains closed when the system pressure is within the normal operating range. Opens quickly in response to an abnormal rate of rise in system pressure which is indicative of an approaching surge wave.
The Singer model DL sewage pressure relief valve is a direct acting spring-loaded relief valve. The valve is adjusted to open when the pressure exceeds the set point (approximately 110% of the normal operating pressure). The valve closes drip tight when pressure falls below the set point.
