Singer Valve Wins Surrey Board of Trade 2009 Export Award
April 8, 2009—The Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel housed a packed ballroom with about 400 business professionals, including dignitaries and the media, for The Surrey Board of Trade’s 3rd Annual International Trade Dinner and Surrey Export Awards.
The recipient of this Export Award embodies the following attributes:
• The degree of innovation in the marketing strategy
• Export growth achieved and the ability to sustain that growth
• Evidence of sustainable competitive advantage
• Value of exporting to the applicant over time
• The overall company commitment to international business
The 2009 nominees included Analytic Systems, Crawford Creek Lumber Ltd., Patton and Cooke Company, Singer Valve Inc., and Wizard IT Services. And the winner is … Singer Valve.
According to a selection committee personnel, Singer Valve was successful in winning the award over the other nominees due to its commitment to the qualifying attributes and success with its export initiatives over many years.

Strategic Alliance
Singer Valve is pleased to announce a strategic alliance in North America with Halma Water Management.
Halma Water Management is based in the UK and manufactures Data Loggers, Flow (measurement) Sensors as well as Controllers that interface directly with Singer Valve products, which allows the user to modulate pressures based on flow (or time).
These product ranges will open the doors for Singer to take the lead on water loss and leakage-related projects.
