Brian began his career as an Electrical Engineer after serving two years in the British Armed Forces. While working with a large international corporation in Hamilton, Ont., Brian was transferred to Vancouver, B.C. as a service engineer. Later, he worked as a Sales Engineer and Sales Manager. In the late 1970's, Brian joined Chutter Hydraulics as part owner. Chutter Hydraulics flourished selling and servicing pumps and building complete pump packages.

While Chutter Hydraulics, now Chamco Industries Ltd., continued to expand, the partners sought a company with international potential to mitigate the swings in business in Western Canada. Their search ended when they purchased Singer Valve Inc. in 1986. Our specialty in automatic control valves was a suitable fit with Chamco's specialty in pumps. It was also a good fit for Brian who assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of Singer Valve. Brian has been instrumental in expanding Singer Valve's market, first across Canada, then in the United States, throughout Asia, and into the rest of the world. Brian is the Board Chair of Chamco Industries and Chief Executive Officer and Board Chair of Singer Valve.
