With a brand new booth to show off and new products to talk about, our team was excited as ever to take on the crowd at ACE 15 in sunny Anaheim! This year’s AWWA conference was quite memorable for Singer Valve. Here are some highlights from our perspective:

New Booth & More:

  • Our new booth sure had the hall buzzing! With four stations (a table on each corner of the booth) it was easy for visitors to interact with products on display and chat with our sales staff. We wanted to be very visual and hands-on with our setup this year.

  • A video demonstrating how our valves work was playing throughout the show.

  • We unveiled some redesigned marketing materials at the show. From the feedback we received, everyone loved the new look!

  • Just days before the show, Flow Control Magazine nominated Singer’s 420-DC/AC Automated Pilot Control for an Innovation Award! Help us win by voting here. Winner will be announced in September.

New Products from Singer Valve:

  • We showcased the new 106-2PR-630 Pressure Management Valve along with the new Single Process Control (SPC) panel. As featured on the Water Tech Online blog, the Pressure Management Valve automatically switches between high-and-low-pressure settings based on the flow rate. The technology requires no power source and can be retrofitted in the field.

  • The SPC-TP panel with proportional-integral-derivative (PID) implementation is compatible with supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) Modbus, has a colour display and features data logging.

  • We had two valve simulators with the SPC-TP, MCP-TP panels running. Singer Valve’s Ryan Spooner, Instrumentations and Automation Manager, was interviewed by WaterOnline’s Todd Schnick (link to full interview).

ACE 2015 Conference Highlights:

  • Attendance was up by 5% since 2014 and overall, the show was well-attended on all three days

  • ACE 15 Men's Pipe Tapping Champion: SADM Monterrey, Apodaca

  • ACE 15 Women's Pipe Tapping Champion: Lansing Lethal Ladies

  • “Best of the Best” Tap Water Taste Test 2015 first place winner: Big Sky County Water & Sewer District in Big Sky, Montana

  • Gene Koontz announced as AWWA’s next president-elect

  • AWWA Mascot 'Eddy’ was introduced at this year's show

Until Next Year!

ACE 2015 was very well done. Our sales account managers find it very rewarding to be able to answer questions from end-users in person. As always, the main highlight for us at shows is connecting with customers and re-connecting with our sales reps from around the world. We had a great time networking with new and old industry professionals/associates.
